BAY OF PLENTY MEET
J. D. CLARK THE CHAMPION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAKATANE, this day. ' The Bay of Plenty Rifle Association's annual prize meeting was held at the Whakatane range on Monday. Weather conditions were almost perfect and riflemen were present from Katikati, Matamata, Tauranga, Opotiki and Rangitaikl Clubs. Chief results : — No. 1 Match (7 shots at 200 yards).— J. D. Clark (Opotiki), 33, 10/ and trophy; W. H. Poole (Katikati), 32; C. J. Kiddle (Taurunga). Leading tyros: H. W. Rollett (Minamata), 31; A. Olliver (Tauranga), 31; R. Barrett, 31. No. 2 Match (7 shots at 200 yards).— J. D. Clark, 34, 10/ and trophy ; A. Olliver, R. Barrett. Tyros: H. W. Rollett 31, W. H. Poole 29, S. Mikkelsea (Rangitaikl) 28. No. 3 Match (7 shots at 500 yards).— W. Moore (Rangitaikl), 34, 10/ and trophy; N. C. Rollett (Matamata), 33; W. H. RolJett, 33. Tyros: S. W. Newton (Whakatane) 32, D. Reynolds (Matamata) 32, R. Barrett 31. No. 4 Match (7 shots at 60 yards).— A. Olliver, 33, 10/ and trophy; W. J. Johnston (Tauranga), 32; E. Morey (Rangitaiki), 32. Tyros: S. Mikkelsen 31, G. F. Faulkner (Katikati) 31, H. G. Rand (Whakatane) 30. Championship Aggregate and Trophy.— J. D. Clark 129, C. J. Kiddie 125, H. W. Rollett 123. Tyro Aggregate and Trophy.—A. Olliver 120, W. J. Johnston 120, G. F. Faulkner 118. The A. J. Moore Belt, which was held last year by C. J. Kiddie, of Tauranga, and is for competition oy members of the five bay clubs only over tile 200 yards, 300 yards and 600 yards ranges, was won by J. D. Clark, with a score of 95.
