ATTACKS ON BRITAIN.
Irish Free State Would Never
Be Foreigner's Base
MR. DE VALERA'S ASSURANCE,
DUBLIN, May 30.
Mr. de Valera, speaking in the Dail yesterday, said: "There have been reports 'that hostile action might be taken against Britain by some foreign Power, which might land forces in Ireland with the connivance of the Free State. I say definitely that so far as this or any other Irish Government is concerned * our territory will not be permitted to be used as a base for attacking Britain."
