There was a moderate turnover this morning, with values generally well sustained. -Main features were renewed activity in Goldsbrouglis at improving rates and a further appreciation ill Broken Hill. There was steady business in mining. Banking was very quiet. New Zealand was linn on buyers' offers of £2 11/ and sellers 3d away. Other issues were mainly at late rates, though buyers of Reserve dropped out, leaving sellers at £0 13/3. (loldsbroughs came on the sales list with renewed activity and gained 2d in the call, with further unsatisfied buyers at £1 10/8 and sellers Id above. Refrigerating (fully paid), which yesterday afternoon continued recent appreciation by selling at above £1. had buyers again at £1 and sellers at £1 0/2. The contributing issue failed to follow the rise and lost Id on to-day's business. There was a good demand for all Australian miscellaneous stocks.. Broken Hill firmed still further, and buyers at £2 15/6 found best sellers Gd above them. Mining business was at steady rates, Maori Gully and Mount Lyell improving in reported business, and Mount Morgan also recording reported sales at n rise, though on 'Change sellers were at £1 18/0. Big River was clown fractionally.
