ONIONS IN DEMAND. PUKEROHE, Monday. •Southern potatoes (Red Dakotas) are meeting with a fairly strong demand at present. Ample (supplied are coining torward at from £8 10/ to £9 per ton, an easing off oh' 5/ per ton on last week's rate. Improved supplies of local onions (good long keepers) are meeting with 11 very ready demand at from £13 to £13 10/ per ton, the price remaining firm at this level. All classes of vegetables are meeting with brisk demand, cauliflowers welling at 10/6 per small sack, an advance of 2/ due to a shortage of supplies; cabbages (.Savoy), 8/ per large sack; all heart, 7/ per largo sack; carrots, 3/3 per sugar bag; parsnips, 4/; beetroot, 3/; rhubarb, 2/9 per dozen bundles; pumpkins (i - ed squash), 4/6 per cwt: good keeping Queensland blue, 8/0; lettuce, 3/0 per banana case. Cauliflower plants are quoted at 10,' per 1000; cabbage plants (Enlicld Market, Savoy, and Drumhead), 7/ per 1000.
