THE ADDINGTON MARKET. FAT CATTLE PLENTIFUL. (By Telegraph.—l'rcss Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. There was a record entry of fat cattle a heavier one of /at sheep, but a smaller yarding of store sheep, at the Addington market to-day. Store lambs sold at up to recent rates, all classes being in demand Store Sheep.—Mostly old ewes were penned, with a sprinkling of forward wethers. The latter met with a sharp advance of 2/ a head, ewes being up to recent rates. Fat Lambs.—There was a yarding of 3000 and a good demand at the export, schedule tor medium weights butchers taking the heavier sorts. Fat Sheep.—The entry was 4500. better quality being represented. There was a sound sale, with a slight easing for export ewes of from Bd to 1/ a head. Show wethers made to 35/10; prime heavy, 20/0 to 29/6; prime medium-weights, 24/ to 20/; ordinary and light, from 15/ to 23/. Show ewes, to 27/10; prime heavy, 21/ to 24/; prime medium-weights, 17/0 to 20/: others, 10/ to 10/. Fat Cattle.—The yarding of 806 was of mixed quality, some good lines being included from South Canterbury and the I'eninsula. Best beef made from 22/0 to 25/ per 1001b; medium to good, 20/ to 22/; and secondary, 16/ to 19/. Extra heavy prime steers sold to £12 12/6; prime medium-weight to heavy, £7 15/ to £1. 5/; others, £3 10/ to £7. Best heifers. to £8 12/6; good, £5 5/ to £6 15/ ; medium, £3 10/ to £5; best cows, £6 to £8 2/0; others, £3 to £5. Fat Pigs—There was an exceptionally heavy yarding, the markqt being overloaded. Choppers made to £4 18/6; porkers, 28/ to 42/6. The average puce per lb was 3d to 5V6d. Baconers made 57/6 to £3 4/6. The average price per lb was 4%d to od.

ABERDEEN ANGUS CATTLE. WAITERENUI DISPERSAL. Approximately 6700 guineas was realised at the hist day of the Waiterenm Aberdeen Angus disperal sale on Monday, when 237 cows and calves were ottered. The top price obtained was 280 guineas, while other animals sold up to 189 guineas. Ihe average price was about 30 guineas. The sale attracted considerable interest, and buyers were present from all parts ot the Dominion and also Australia. Competition throughout was excellent, with animals of the famous Flower strain selling exceedingly well. Heifers and bulls will be sold to-morrow. NORTHERN DISTRICTS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The North Auckland Farmers' Co-op., Ltd., held a horse fair ut Kamo on Monday. A splendid number of horses came forward, but the attendance of buyers was limited. Bidding was inclined to be slack, although a few animals made good prices. The best obtained was £4a, for a bay mare sold by Mr. M. J. O'Shea to Mr. C. Henty, of Kamo Springs. Air. D. J. Morrison disposed of a bay gelding for £44 10/, the purchaser being Mr. B. 1 age, of Three Kings. Mr. M. J. O'Shea. sold a bay mare for £43 10/ to Messrs. bimpkin and Sanderson, Oinana. Heavy draughts made £39 to £45; medium draughts, £32 to £41; spring cart horses, £27 to £31; light harness horses and hacks, *7 10/ to £18; squibs and ponies, 25/ to £3.
