ATHLETIC CLUB.
The Otahuhu Amateur Athletic Club held itis first annual dance and presentation of trophies iu the Otahuhu Publie Hall o.i Monday evening. There were over three hundred dancers present, including visitdrs from the various athletic clubs in Auckland. The dance music was supplied by the C'asa Lonia Orchestra, while Mr. W. Arnold, assisted by Messrs. W. Whitmore, and F. Arnold, were masters of ceremonies. The hall had been tastefully decorated with blue and gold streamers, the club Colour I, and the stage was adorned with stands of Edith Cavell chrysanthemums. During the evening the presentation of trophies was made by the president of the club, Mr. F. W. Grey. Following the presentation the secretary of the Auckland Centre, Mr. 11. L. Towers, and the secretary of the Otahuhu Club, Mr. G. Porter, addressed the gathering. Supper was served by the social committee.
