Among the social functions in connection with the territorial camp which is being held at Narrow Neck this week is the First Battalion, North Auckland Regiment, ball, which takes place at the naval base, Devonport, this evening. PENWOMEN'S CLUB. MUSIC CIRCLE'S PROGRAMME. The music section of the Penwomen's Club held the opening evening of the 1935 session on Tuesday. The convener, Miss Alice Law, L.R.A.M., was in the chair. The entertainment took the form of a social evening with musical items and competitions. The programme opened with a pianoforte duet "Marche Militaire," played by Misses R. Haresnape and M. Coad. This was followed by a musical monologue, "Old Pierrot," by Mrs. Delnar. Miss P. McLeod sang two songs, "Non So Piu," by Mozart and "Have You Seen a White Lily" Miss Phyllis Moberley gave in costume a dramatic recital entitled "A Pot-pourri of Oldfashioned Song and Story." Musical competitions arranged by Miss Stevenson and Miss Law created much amusement. Small prizes were awarded to the winners, and supper concluded a delightful evening.
