PONSONBY CLUB. The Ponsonby Bowling Club's open fours tourney was played last night. -^ s several teams defaulted Letliam (Ponsonby) withdrew his team to save a bye. Results: — First Round. —Keleher, Woodward, McKinstry, Wliitelaw ( Wlwingarei) 9, v. Johnson, Israel, Oake, Ilardie Neil (Auckland) 2 ; Cosgrove, Ingall, F. Tomllnson, S. Tomlinson (Mount Albert) 9, v. Florey, Conway, lirownett, Maud (Bdendale) 5. Second Round.—llnrdio Neil S, v. Tomlinson 1 ; Wliitelaw 0, v. Maud 5. Third Round.—Tomlinson 10, v. Whitelaw 2 ; Maud «, v. Ilardie Nell 4. Totals.—Tomlinson, Wliitelaw, each 2 wins; Ilardie Neil, Maud, each 1 win. The final between Tomlinson and Whitelaw resulted in a tie, but Tomlinson won on the play-off. Following are the leading teams in the aggregate competition for the Ponsonby Bowl: Carlton, 2G.J ; Edendale, 20; Auckland, 25 ; Grey Lynn, IS ; West End, IG.
