GARDEN PARTY

The beautiful home of Mrs. T. Sloaue, 011 the sunny slopes overlooking the Manukau Harbour at Karaka bridge, was the rendezvous of a garden party held 011 Thursday in connection with the Papakura Women's Institute. Tlie day proved most en joyable.. Competition winners were: Mystery parcel, Mrs. Hitchcns; names, Miss V. Houghton; guessing, Mrs. F. Pea pell; homeworked nightdress, Mrs. Clarke; goose, Mrs. Lardncr. A dainty afternoon tea was a feature of the party. Amongst those present were: Mesdames V. Houghton, S. Evans, H. C. Baulf, Firman, L. Wood, I. Beams, Sutton, E. C. Johnson, Owens, Blank, L. Sineed, Donald, Rodgers, Dimond, Peapell, Croskery, Kitchens, Kemp, Clark, Carpenter, Ballard, Blair, Watson, Abbis, Woodcock, Pethybridge, Thomson, and Misses Donald, Berryman, Keys, Cutforth, and Ennion.
