HAMILTON LAW SOCIETY.

(By Telegraph.—Own Corresv ...) HAMILTON, this day. The annual meeting of the Hamilton District Law Society elected the following officers: President, Mr. J. F. Strang; vice-president, Mr. E. M. Mackersey; council, Messrs. N. S. Johnson, C. L. MacDiarmkl, E. V. Stace, F. A. Swarbrick, W. Tudhope, M. H. Hampson and S. Lewis. A resolution was passed expressing the opinion that the officc of AttorneyGeneral was one that should be held by a member of the legal profession.
