For the twelve months ending to-day the Auckland City Council issued 1454 permits for I lie erection of buildings alid alterations, to the value of £414,308, compared with 1448 permits, valued at £410,832, for the previous year, an increase of £3470. For the month ending to-day 105 permits were issued for work estimated to cost £35,512, compared with 111 permits last month for work estimated to cost £25,580. Seventeen dwellings and one theatre are included in this month's permits.
