HITLER DEMANDS
SWEEPING TERMS. STARTLING CLAIMS. Dominating Position in Central Europe. BLOC AGAINST RUSSIA. (United P.A.-Electrie Telegraph-Copyright) (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 2S. The "Sydney Sun"-"Melbourne Herald" news service learns that remarkable disclosures regarding the German situation, and comprising Sir John Simon's and Herr Hitler's discussions have been fully documented and examined by the Australian High Commissioner, Mr. S. M. Bruce. The British Ministers discussed the position informally with the Australian Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons. Although an immediate crisis is not anticipated, the position is regarded as disturbing. It is understood that Herr Hitler's revelations include:— (1) A definite statement that Germany's Air Force exceeds Britain's. (2) Germany is establishing an active army of 550,000, not of 500,000 as Britain had imagined. (3) Germany will not return to the League of Nations until concessions are granted concerning her former colonies. (4) Germany will not consider any form of eastern security pact. (5) Germany desires to absorb the German-speaking elements of Austria and Czecho-Slovakia to enable her to dominate Central Europe. (6) Germany opposes all pacts with any clause concerning nonintervention in Austria. Herr Hitler's policy as expressed to Sir John Simon religiously follows that set out in his book, "Mein Ivampf." He frankly intimated that he wanted the European countries to form a bloc against Russia, which would cause the same complications as an anti-German bloc.
SOVEREIGNTY REWON. GENERAL LUDENDORFF'S VIEW (Received 11.30 a.m.) BERLIN, March 28. General Ludendorff, in his periodical. "At the Holy Well of German Power," says: "On March 10 we won back our military sovereignty by our own strength, not by means of a bargain with the originators of the Versailles Treaty or that helpless creation, the League of Nations." LABOUR SERVICE.
BREAK CLASS DISTINCTION. (Received 1 p.m.) BERLIN, March 28. The reintroduction of conscription does not affect the necessity for labour service, said Heir Hierl, Labour Service leader, addressing the Labour Congress. The Army's mission is protection from external iocs, while the Labour Service is the practical application of Nazi-ism to guarantee that Germans will not again be sundered by class differences. Labour Service in future will precede military service. It is proposed to create a new type of workman, such as a soldier or sailor, or perhaps a conception such as a gentleman. Moreover, the Labour Service rs essential to assure food supply, as was indicated in the Allied blockade in war time. He added that land amelioration in Germany would increase agricultural produce by £100,000.000 annually and keep 2.">0.000 employed for 40 years.
