AUCKLAND ANNUAL MEETING. Unusual interest is attaching to the annual general meeting,of the Auckland Football Association on Tuesday next, owing to the fact that there are seventeen nominations for the nine positions on the Control Board. This is the result of the decision of the old board, on the recommendation of the president, to reopen nominations after nine had Deen received, on the ground that several of the clubs had not attempted to nominate for the board. Some discussion has taken place regarding the legality o£ this decision, and there is a probability that it will be hotly contested nt the meeting on Tuesday. The seventeen names that will go to the ballot will. be :, J. Ball, I<\ H. Baker, A. J. Gaily, W. D. Glaister, H. Gribble, Marsh, S. It. Mnssnra, N. McDougall, \V. Morris, L. Munro, A. P. Neesham, A. Fletcher, K. F, Miller, A. E. Parkinson, F. M. Ritchie, J. C Sibbin, W. Walker.
Contrary to tnlk of Abels discontinuing their club this season, it Is announced that the nnniml general meeting will be held on Monday evening, in the Y.M.C.A. The club has five or six teams,-and is stated to be in good heart. The club's HeuHOn will be informally "opened" on Wednesday evening with a dance in Cnrlton Cabaret.
