SU3GESTION TO OPEN FUND.

LORD NUFFIELD'S LEAD,

Following on the suggestion of Lord Nuffield., telegrams signed by Mr. C. J. B. Norwood, were forwarded last evening to all Mayors in New Zealand. Eaoii message was worded as follows.'—

"His Worship the Mayor.—Lord Nuffield, in his speech to-day at Auckland, hoped that all Mayors would open a fund to supplement his national gift of £00,000 towards crippled children. Will you agree? Press support assured."
