ANOTHER HOME.
SUGGESTION IN DUNEDIN.
USE OF "LITTLEBOUBNE."
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
DUNEDIN, this day.
As the City Council is unable to carry out the objective of the donors in making a vice-regal residence of the late Sir John Roberts' home, '"Littlebourne House," and the Otago University is unable to accept it as a conservatorium of music, the Mayor the Rev. E. T. Cox, suggests .that the property could be put to no worthier use than as a home for crippled children".
"Littlebourne House"' is of bluestone, and contains 25 rooms. It stands in seven acres of ground and native bush, five minutes from the centre-of the city. It has been unoccupied since Sir John's death, and is vested in the Citv Council.
A Mayor's fund was opened to-day for the endowment of a home for crippled children.
