NOISY CYCLES.
"Eoyal Enfield's" statement that noisy motor cycles are definitely in the is very much open to question. As far as Point Chevalier Road, Manukau Road, The Drive and Tamaki Drive arc concerned I should say the reverse is the case. However, it is obvious that individual protests are of no avail, and the formation of the Noise Abatement Society will probably lead to an organised attempt to eradicate the pest referred to by your many correspondents. I am satisfied that magistrates will show little sympathy as far as these selfish people are concerned when they appear before them. Some time ago at Invercargill, Mr. C. Lewey, S.H., said that if the niSiSy motor cyclist persisted he would make the hues so stiiT that the offenders would have to give up motor cycling. While writing this letter more than half a dozen motor cycles have passed niv house—all of the machine-gun variety. A. LAWSON.
