PROTECTION OF INVESTORS.
A short time ago one of your correspondents wrote urging the formation of an fmestors' Protection Association in our city similar to those already formed in Christchurch ami Wellington. Those societies have, already done good work in watching legislation likely to affect i.iie interest* of investors and in making representations aiming at securing the preservation of their rights; and I feel sure that the formation of one in our city would he of great value to investors whoso interests are likely to lie affected by the mortgage legislation to be dealt with this session. 1 sincerely hope that some of our influential citizens will take prompt steps to call a meeting of those interested with a view to forming an association.
