PAEROA V. THAMES.
A further round of matches for tin Lawrence Cup in connection with the Thames Valley Tennis Association took place at the Methodist courts, Thames, on Saturday between Thames and l'aeroa, the latter winning by eight rubbers to seven. Results (l'aeroa first ) :—
Men's Singles.—Boss beat Dnnbv, 9—l; Bush lost to Garland, 0—0; Ohlson beat Grant, o—7; Thorpe lost to Hetherlngton, o—o ; Sutherland beat Miller, o—20 —2- McMillan lost to Bell, 4—o.
Women's Singles.—Miss Shand beat Mrs. Glover, o—2; Mrs. Nield lost to Miss .Smith, S—o; Miss Taylor lost to Miss Duffy, C—o; Miss Bellamy lost to Miss Chambers, I—!t.
-Men s Doubles.—Ross and McMillan beat Danby and Grant, o—3; Ohlson and Bush beat Garland and Miller, o—7;0 —7; Thorpe and Sutherland beat Hctherington and Bell,
Women's Doubles.—Misses Shand and Bellamy lost to Mrs. Glover and Miss Duffy s—o; Mrs. Nield and Miss Taylor beat Misses Smith and Chambers, o—7.
