RUGBY AT TWICKENHAM.

ENGLAND DEFEATS IRELAND. LONDON', February O. An attendance of 50,000 spectators saw England defeat Ireland by 14 points to 3 ill the international Rugby match played at Twickenham to-day. The game for ,the most part was a struggle between two well-matched sets of forwards. England was superior in the set scrums, while the Irish forwards excelled in the loose. Ireland was frequently penalised for offside play. The English three-quarters carried a decided superiority and narrowly missed scoring several times, but fine tackling by the Irish players kept the attackers at bay. A feature of the game was the kicking of England's full-back, Botlghton, who repeatedly found touch with lengthy placements. He kicked all of England's goals, which included one conversion and three penalties.
