(Sent In by C. Riley; age 16.) How many pins ao you think you could get into a tumbler of water, winch was full to the brim, without causing an overflow? Someone tried this experiment, dropping in the pins one at a time. Actually 1470 pins were put into the o-iass, of a total weight of almost three and a half ounces. When all the pins had been put in, the water at the top of the glass was curved cntwards, yet not a singie drop had flowed down the eide. —OuniaA.
