The Suburbs team from Te Aroha just missed securing an outright win over Morrinsville High School, the school's last batsman playing out time and giving Suburbs a win on the first innings. Suburbs scored 04 for four wickets declared (Budd 31, Johnston 20, Cross 17). High School were dismissed for 20, and in the second innings lost nine wickets for 20 (J. Wctcre 11).
