Mr. and Mrs. P.H...Upton left for Wellington by the express yesterday afternoon. . Mr. M. J. Moodabe and Air. J. P. Moodabe left for Australia by the Wanganella yesterday. Mr. W. Maehin, chief aviation officer in New ] Zealand for the Vacuum Oil Co., Ltd., is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. John Farrell, Auckland manager for J. C. Williamson, Ltd., accompanied by Mrs.; Parrel!, arrived from the south to-day*. ... . ' Mr. W. Petrie, chief Government hemp grader, who is at present visiting North Auckland,: is expected to return on Monday. Surgeon-Commander Roger Buddie, 0.8.E.,' of the Royal Navy, has been appointed to H.M.S. Philomel, of the New Zealand Division. Dr. Sydney H. Nicholson, formerly organist; at Westminster Abbey, who arrives from .Rotorua this afternoon, will bather guest ,of the Rev. A. Russell Alierton until Tuesday. : . Mr. Andrew Wilson.
