PHILIP HARGRAVE.
HIS FAREWELL CONCERTS.
At His Majesty's Theatre this evening Philip Sargrave, youthful Australian boy pianist, will make his farewell evening appearance in Auckland. The varied programme is one that should appeal to lovers of music as well as to the general public, consisting as it does of selections from Beethoven. Bach. Chopin, Haydn. Granados, Henselt. and a Paganini-Liszt Etude. The Melbourne baritone singer Mr. J. Alexander Browne will render several new numbers. As an extension of tlie number of night recitals has been found impossible, the management has arranged for the boy's final concert in Auckland to take the shape of a matinee recital, to take place on Wednesday next. It is announced that the first 500 ladies attending the matinee will receive an autographed photograph of the boy.
