SOCCER FOOTBALL.

THISTLE'S PROTEST. FALCON CUP DECISION. The Thistle Club wrote to the Control Board of the Auckland Football Association last evening, appealing against the awarding of the Falcon Cup final to North Shore after that team had been beaten by Thistle. The latter set out the various reasons why they considered that the board had erred in its decision to upset the result. It intimated that an appeal to the New Zealand Council was pending. It was decided that the Thistle C'lub be notified that the board had simply carried its rules into effect. The meeting decided that matters affecting Blandford Park, and also the discussion of the limitation of senior teams for next season, should be left until next week's meeting, when every member of the board will be asked to be present, so that an early decision may be arrived at.
