ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The One Tree Hill Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. I. Goldstine, presiding. Municipal Conference.—lntimation was received from the Municipal Association that a conference would be held in Christchurch early in March, 1935, and that any remits for discussion be submitted not later than November 25. St. John Ambulance.—A letter was received from the St. John Ambulance; Association asking for a_ donation, as this year's street collection had been much smaller than on previous occasions. Mr. Mulholland suggested increasing the previous year's donation of £2 2/ to £5 5/. as the association was deserving of support. After discussion this was done. Building Permits. — The building inspector, Mr. P. H. Hollingsworth. reported that during the past .tortjight five building permits had been issued, representing a total expenditure of £2428. Since the beginning of the year 73 permits had been granted, valued at £20,780, while for the previous twelve months to December 31, the total value of permits reached £20,339 3/. This represented an increase of £420 17/, with over two months of - this year still to go.
