DEPARTMENTAL INQUIRY. (By Telograrili.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. An inquiry by the Department of Industries and Commerce into the of bread on consignment is now proceeding, according to a statement which was made by the Prime Minister to-night. Mr. Forbes said the investigation followed the recommendation by the Industries and Commerce of the House, which expressed the opinion that the sale of bread on consignment was an undesirable practice.
