FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.

The Government Meteorologist issued to tlic "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawliia and Hamilton: — Moderate to strong but decreasing south-west winds, weather cool and changeable, with scattered showers, but improving, seas rather rough on the west coast, moderate 011 east coast. The recent depression is now east of New Zealand, and a moderate anticyclonc is advancing across the North Tasman Sea. HATJRAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, S.W., fresh; sea rough; weather overcast and squally, with rain and boisterous conditions generally; visibility fair; barometer steady.
