PETITIONS TO PARLIAMENT. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Parliament is being petitioned on a national scale in favour of the repeal of the 1932 legislation under whicli. the primary school permissive entrance age was raised from five to six years. Petitions presented to the House of Representatives yesterday by Taranaki 'members contained in the aggregate nearly 2000 signatures. Petitioners submit that the raising of the ago has deprived a large number of children of the conditions necessary for their proper development, and they ask that parents should be again permitted to enrol their children at the age of five years.
