NORTH SHORE CLUB,
ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
The sixty-first annual general meeting of the North Shore Rowing Club was liold In the boathouse, King Edward Parade, lasit night. Mr. P. R. Grahncn presided, mid there was a full attendance of members. The report and balance-shcet, as already published in- the "Star," were adopted. The election of officers resulted: —Commodore, Mr. C. Seagar; patron, Mr. H. F. W. Meikle; president, Mr. N. C. Cameron ; vice-presidents, same as last year, with addition of Mr. C. L. Stevenson; lion, secretary, Mr. W. A. Walsh; assistant secretary, Mr. H. O. Judkins; hou. treasurer, Mr. C. J. Willetts; captain, Mr. E. Korn ; deputy captain, Mr. W. Dean; committee, Messrs. P. R. Graham. S. B. Rutledge, R. S. Challinor, C. Levy, C. Eagles; hon. auditor, Mr. R. A. Spinley; hon. solicitors, Messrs. G. Clarke-Walker and S. Armstrong; delegates A.R.A., Messrs. W. A. Walsh, Rutledge, S. MeDuff. On the casting vote of the chairman it was decided to have a sole selector for regatta 3 crews this season, and Mr. L. B. McCallum was elected. In recognition of his services over a period of ten years, Mr. S. MeDuff was elected a life member. Mr. G. Barratt was also elected a life member. It was resolved -to induce the old members to renew their interests in the club by joining up as • honorary cneinbers. After Mr. Willetts, treasurer, had referred to outstanding subscriptions, a recommendation to the incoming committee was made to enforce the rule regarding unfinaneial members. Regret was expressed that Mr. W. F. M. McLean, who for the last two years has been president of the cltib, was unable to accept office.' A resolution was carried "That a letter be sent Mr. McLean expressing appreciation for the very valuable services he has rendered the clul), and regret at his resignation." It was resolved to hold a smoke concert on November 3 3 to celebrate the GOth anniversary of the club. A special committee of old members, Messrs. L, Spihlcy, R. Haddon and P. Weston, were appointed to act in conjunction with the management executive. Three' new active members, E. Hilt, S. Rippon, F. Respin, and one honorary, F. J. Norris. were elected. The following resolution was carried: "That' the club does not make itselv responsible for any financial losses or expenditure of the Auckland Rowing Association this season."
