MOTHERS' UNION
OTAHUHU CELEBRATION,
The Holy Trinity Mothers' Union hold its final afternoon in the' Holy Trinity Parish Hall, OtahuTiu, 011 Thursday. The afternoon was also the first function to be held in connection with the eightytliinl anniversary of the building of the first eliurci) 111 Otalmhu. The aged women' of the district were the guests of honour, and there were also present representatives of St. James', Mangerc, and Papatoetoe Mothers' Union. After a short service in the church, conducted by the vicar, the lie v. K. J. Stanton, assisted by the Rev. W. R. Castle, over 150 ladies adjourned to the hall, where an enjoyable programme of selected items was presented. Those contributing to the programme were Mrs. W. 13. Mears, Mrs. Croft, Mrs. G. Webber, and the Misses Pat and Hope Odlam. The accompanists wore Mesdames- J. FletcheyMathews, Barrinston-Snow and Fugle. Aunt Daisy (Mrs. Basham) gave an interesting and humorous address 011 a bag wash laundry. Mrs. R. J. Stanton, president of the union, presented the artists with bouquets. Afternoon tea was served bv the committee.
