RETURNED SOLDIERS.
DANCE AT MANGERE,
Careful organisation and attention to every detail resulted in the first dance held 011 Saturday night in the Mangere East Ilall by the Otahuhu and District Returned Soldiers' Association being an
unqualified success. During the evening Colonel R. V. Closey, president of the club, expressed his sincere thanks to all for their assistance to the association, and introduced Mr. W. W. Massey, M.P., who congratulated the club on its splendid evening. Mrs. W. W. Massey made the following presentations: —Bridge, ladies, Mrs. Chapman 1, Mrs. Jackson 2; .">OO, ladies, Mrs. Stanley T, r.Trs. L. llavill 2; bridge, gentlemen, Mr. S. House 1, Mr. A. T. McLaren 2; 500, gentlemen, Mr. Bowers 1, Mr. Webb 2; Monte Carlo waltz, Miss Wells and Mr. Dando. Supper was served by the social committee. Those present included: Mrs. W. W. Massey, who wore black chenille lace and velvet coatee; Mrs. Albert Hen wood, black lacc; Mrs. L. llavill, violet georgette; Mrs. Stanley, brown maroeain; Mrs. Black, Burgundy satin; Mrs. S.
