GOLDEN CLOUD DUE. A cargo from New Icork arrived yesterday afternoon, and to-morrow another is due from the Pacific Coast of America, followed on Friday by a further ship from the same part. This morning the Kangitata left for London. Light showers have slightly delayed cargo operations to-day. City of Winchester arrived yesterday afternoon from New York, Port Arthur and Newport News, and is at the Queen's wharf. She leaves on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia to complete discharge. Lxcept fol* ten hours of storm yesterday morning, the steamer experienced a fair weather passage. (N.Z.S.) Golden Cloud expects to arrive from Los Angeles at noon to-morrow with cargo from Pacific Coast ports, and after discharge of. the Auckland portion; is to sail on Friday for Wellington and Australia. (H. and M.) Waikawa is due here at 0 a.m. on Friday with cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Tvmeric sailed last evening for Wanganui to complete discharge of her cargo of Nauru Island phosphates. Port Waikato is expected from Wellington on Friday morning. After discharge of her cargo from Southern ports she will be laid up for annual inspection. CITY OF GLASGOW. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the steamer City of Glasgow is scheduled to leave New York on November 22 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Duncdin and Australia. SCHOONER lIUIA. The Nobel auxiliary schooner Hula is to leave E'remantle to-day for Bunbury to load a hardwood cargo for Melbourne. Alter discharge she loads explosives at Melbourne for New Zealand. STEAMER WIRRAL SOLD. • The steamer Wirral has been sold for £25,000 by the Wirral Transport Company to 'Cappner, Alexander and Company, London. She has visited New Zealand several times. The vessel was built at Glasgow in 1D25. SUMMER TIME. The Marine Department advises that summer time will be brought into force at 2 a.m. Now Zealand time on Sunday next, when clocks should be advanced 30 minutes. The attention of mariners is drawn to the necessity of adding 30 minutes to the times given in the New Zealand nautical almanac and tide tables in New Zealand mean time to obtain them lin terms of summer time. THE REMUERA. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Hemuera reports that she expects to arrive at Wellington from London at S a.m. on Sunday. After landing passengers and mail at Wellington she proceeds to Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff to discharge cargo. She loads thereafter at Bluff, Wellington and Auckland, sailing from here on October 23 for Loudon, via Panama.
