WOOL TRADE. LONDON SALES CONTINUE. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, September 25. At the wool sales 9795 bales were offered, including 3031 New Zealand. Approximate sales of Australian and New Zealand were C'2o3. Competition was sustained and prices fully steady. New Zealand greasy crossbred, GLJ, top price OVfed average BV6d; half bred lambs slipe, l'areora, 1/ and ll%d. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received the following cablegram from their London house, dated 24th instant:—-The wool market continues, competition active, but no improvement in prices. From 75 per cent to SO per cent offerings were sold. The sales closc on October 3.

SYDNEY, September 25. At the Sydney wool sales to-day 9283 bales were offered and 8071 were sold. Also 700 bales were sold privately. Japan, Yorkshire and the Continent were the principal bidders. Prices were unchanged. . , , Greasy Merino sold to 157 id for six bales from Willow Tree.

CHICAGO, September 25. Wheat for delivery in September is quoted at 104% cents per bushel, for delivery in December at 104% cents, and for May delivery at 104% cents.

LONDON, September 25. Gold is quoted at £7 1/2% per ounce. Silver is quoted at 22 l-16d per ounce for spot delivery, and 22% d for forward.
