MATCHES IN THE PROVINCE.

At Wniuku championship matches resulted as follow:—Senior: Cnlbeck beat Forbes. 1 up. Intermediate : North beat Roscoe, 4 and 3: C. Herrold beat Heise, 2 and 1. Junior : Hamilton beat McDonald, 8 and 7; Speer beat Peterson, C and 4. Ilowden won the final of the Duff Cup, beating C. Arkle. 2 and 1. A bogey match was also won by Howden, 4 up. Matches played by the Whangarei Ladies* Club resulted as follow :—Junior championship. semi-final : Miss Risliworth beat Miss D. Steele. 3 and 2; Mrs. Weston beat Mrs. Thorne, 3 and 1. The senior flag match was won by Mrs. S. Weston, who carried the flag to the nineteenth green. The second round of the championship and bogey handicap of the Rotorua Club resulted :— Championship.—W. Kusabs beat L. Poole, 2 and 1 ; J. Empen beat W. Anderson, 2 and 1: R. Spedding beat S. E. Carr, 1 up ; M. Carr beat Parata, 8 and 7; H. Hamilton beat A. Downer, 2 and 1 ; F. Wilkie beat H. Johnston. 1 up; A. Simmonds heat Gee, 5 and 3; A. Sommerville beat W. Monk, 1 up, at the nineteenth. Bogey Handicap.—D. Denliam, 1 down; T. McElroy, 1 down; W. Kusabs, 2 down ; M. Carr, 2 down. Denham won on the count back.
