LAWN TENNIS.

LOUVAIN CLUB. The official opening of the club's season was held on the club courts on Saturday in brilliant sunshine. Mr. L. G. Grace, the president, welcomed past and new members and their friends. The lady captain, Mrs. Hayne. was called upon to serve the opening ball, after which tlie forty present participated in a combined tournament. Tlie winners. Mrs. Waters and Hayne, were the recipients of trophies. Afternoon tea was served to the company by the lady members.
