ST. ANDREW'S SOCIETY.
The St. Andrew's B>ciety held an enjoyable card party in the National Council of Women's ijboms, in Victoria Street, on Saturday evening. Mr. J. Barbour, secretary, organised the games. The prize-winners vw;re: Mr. and Mre. McCrae, Mr. and 3'/ta. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. and Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Wright. Among those present were: Mesdames VU. Black, J. Lornie, D. McLaren, P. G. "bright, G. Spicer, W. McKain, A. J. 1 ttdrhead, Barbour, D. McMillan, Urquh.'itt, Morten, Appleby, McCrae, Smith , I'/tieees Shepard, Morten, Cameron, Wallcerji . A dainty supper was served by the .jlaflies' committee.
FANCY DRESJS DANCE. COLOURFUL COSTUMES. A highly euccessfjial children's plain and fancy dress h njll was held in St. Mary's Hall, E'fterslie. Especially colourful was tho pp. , and march, in which the children rpflcjf.cd great credit on Mrs. R. Hickey, who had carefully trained them. Betflvocn the dances itemn were rendered by Masters Ken Barnes and Noel Mathr Um, Miss Peggy Tate, Master Allan ]l\ jraman, Missee Rosie Veseey and Mol Jlj/ Poulsen. An appro-, priate conclusi bi\ was made by the presentation of* a haka by six welltrain boys in 'Maori attiro. 'Jdolloy and P. McCabo ably performed iuties as masters of ceremonies, while JMiss Moira Tinline acted aa accomppanist.
