RESERVE BANKS SLIP.
GOVERNMENT STOCKS STEADY,
Chief feature of a quiet morning on the Auckland Stock Exchange was a further decline in Reserve Bank shares, which changed hands at £6 5/, with more available at that figure, and buyers back to £6 4/9. This shows a drop of 1/6 in the week. Otherwise, the bank section showed little change. New Zealand Insurances were slightly easier, with sellers at last night's sale price, £3 2/. Auckland Gas shares were quiet, with sellers of the ordinary at £1 6/0, and no buyers. Contributing were quoted between 18/9 and 10/. A parcel of Milne and Choyce debenture 6tock was available at 19/3. In the gilt-edge section buyers for Rural bonds moved up to £104 without attracting holders. Government bonds and stocks were firm and unchanged. SALES COMPLETED. AT THE 3.16 P.I9S. CALL YESTERDAY— Last Sale. £ s rt £ s (1 i Bunk of A'sin . 31 ft o .. 11 12 6 !
