NIAGARA LEAVES. WAIPAHI FROM SUVA. Shipping movements to-day are fairly active with the arrival of the Waipahi and Wingatui and the departure of the Niagara and the Tapti. To-morrow no arrivals and one departure are forecast for overseas ships, but on Thursday two are- due and three are sailing. Niagara left early this afternoon for Vancouver with passengers, mails and cargo. She is travelling via Suva, Honolulu and Victoria, and is due at the terminal port on August 10. (U.S.S.) Waipahi arrived this morning from Suva with a cargo mainly of bananas. She is discharging at the Queen's wharf, and is scheduled to sail at 6 p.m. to-day for Newcastle, Sydney, Fiji, thence returning to Auckland. (U.S.S.) Tapti is discharging at the King's wharf, and sails at 8 p.m. to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton and Duncdin to complete unloading New York cargo. (N.Z.S.) Matakana, unloading London cargo at the Prince's wharf, is to sail tomorrow morning early for Wellington to complete discharge. She loads thereafter for the return voyage. (A.S.P.) Port Brisbane is expected from Gisbonio on Friday morning to complete loading for London, and is scheduled to sail, 'via Cape Horn, on Saturday. (F.C.A.) Orari is scheduled to sail on Thursday afternoon for London and west coast ports of Great Britain. She is loading at the Queen's wharf. (N.Z.S.) Opawa is expected to complete discharging the Auckland portion of her Liverpool cargo on Thursday afternoon, when ehe proceeds south. (N.Z.S.) Marama arrived from Sydney at Wellington thin morning, and is to leave there at 1 o'clock to-morrow afternoon for Auckland. She sails from here at 5.30 p.m. on Friday for Sydney direct. (U.S.S.) Mariposa is due on Saturday morning from Sydney, and after landing passengers and mails, she embarks northbound passengers. The liner is to sail at 1 p.m. for Los Angeles. (11. and M.)
