AUSTRALIAN BUDGET, Return of Part Salary Cuts Foreshadowed. RURAL INDUSTRIES LOAN. (Uuited T.A.-Elcctric Tclegraph-CoprrigM) (Received 11 a.m.) CANBERRA, this day. When the Budget is presented in a few days important remissions in the primage duty, further sales tax exemptions and reduction in the special tax on property Avill be nonnccd. The Government intends to restore the public servants' salary cuts by 5 per cent and to make greater provision for incapacitated soldiers and their dants. It is also proposed to raise a special loan of £12,500,000 to £15,000,000 for the rehabilitation of rural industries.
