PREMATURE EXPLOSION. SHOT FIRER XOT PRESENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.} GREYMOUTH, this clay. An inquest on Lawrence Patterson, who was killed at the New Point Cooperative mine, Dunollic, on June 13, was concluded to-day. Tlie coroner, Mr. Morgan, returned a verdict that deceased was killed by the premature explosion of mine ammunition which he was charging into a shot hole. Tho evidence showed that the explosion occurred during the temporary absence of the shot firer.
