The only large overseas vessel in port at present is the Cambridge, loadin- Waipahi arrived this morning, and the Karetu is now due on Thursday. Early this afternoon the Port Hunter sailed for London, and just before noon the Aorangi left for Vancouver. The end of this week will see a further improvement In the number oi men cm-

ployed at the wharves. Waipahi arrived this morning from Suva, and berthed at the Queen's wharf to commence discharge of her cargo of bananas. This afternoon she was to move to the Prince's wharf to complete discharge before sailing at 10 p.m. to-day for Wlianytaroa, Newcastle, Sydney and Fiji. (U.S.S.)

Karetu has radioed that she expects to arrive from Cook Islands at 0 a.m. on Thursday with a cargo for discharge at Auckland. (U.S.S.)

Aorangi cleared the port before noon to-day in continuation of her voyage to Vancouver. She took passengers, mails and cargo, and is due at Vancouver on July 13. (U.S.S.)
