Five horses figure on the limit of the ißoyal Handicap, aii event for trotters, and Young Rodney, after his good showing on Saturday, will Lave support. I£ lie had not broken at the entrance to the straight the las-'; time he would have been very hard UO beat. Waikato Prince was going well when he broke with a round to. go in the same event, and he will also have to be considered.- Nelson Pirate is a newcomer, who has plenty of cspeed, and should he trot solidly must be respected. Autumn Lu ran a good race to finish fourth, while Manna's Son disappointed oil Saturday. Gala "Day, although along way back on Saturday, finished third, and is on the same mark to-niorrow. She should again be troublesome. A trio that may be fancied are YOUNG- RODNEY GALA DAY WAIKATO PRINCE. The Manukau Handicap. Lucky Love did not race on Saturday, but at the recent Waikato meeting finished second to Kewpie's Bond in a similar distance event. Nelson' Luvan ran a solid race on Saturday and he should be much harder to beat. Home Brew ■'-:, was fourth- in- a better -class onSaturday, while Kewpie's Bond and Gold Dredge,-who were fourth and fifth respectively in. the Mangere Handicap, are not out'of it. The best backed may be Vp -" \ NELSON LUVAN '"• H AIRCRAFT LUOKLY LOVE. The Big Event. Only half a dozen remain in the C. F. Mark Memorial, the principal event of the day. Moko Girl is unreliable, but Eoi Grande, after losing ground off the mark and also tangling during the race, put Tip a good performance to finish close up fourth behind Billy Carbine, Explosion and Bessie Parrish. Mr. Penalty failed to go solidly, but Explosion and Bessie Parrish, who filled the minor places on Saturday, -will have to be seriously considered. The favourites may be
BILLY CAKBLNE BESSIE PARRISH. The June Handicap. Of the four on the limit in the June Handicap liady Amanda appeals most after her good third in the Hobson Handicap. Compass went really well to the straight eutrance in the same event and should improve. Min Bells broke badly at thestart of her race on Saturday, but afterwards displayed a lot of speed, finishing just behind the placed horses in the Hobson Handicap. Realty, only for breaking at the entrance to the straight, would have been hard to dispose of on Saturday. The chief fancies may be HOHORO—MANCO Bracket FKANCIS LINCOLN REALTY. The Concluding Event. The largest field of the day is carded for the Prince of Wales Handicap, the concluding event of the meeting. Free Logai is very speedy, while Our Peter anc Smooger were always handy in a similar event on the first day, Smooger finishing third.- Tempest is sure to go well if started, while the bracket Lady Coronado and Willie Derby-must have a good chance.
