CO-OPERATION.
AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND MR. STERLING'S TOUR. After travelling nearly 14,000 miles through all the Australian States, with the exception of Tasmania, Mr. H. H. Sterling, chairman of the New Zealand Railways Board, returned by the Aorangi yesterday. Mr. Sterling said that his trip had lasted nine weeks, and it was made with a view to seeing the attractions Australia offered from the point of view of the traveller. He had come in contact wherever he went with the various interests concerned with the development of travel, and had urged co* operation between both countries as far as tourist traffic was concerned. Such an effort, it was hoped, would develop into a united movement by the whole of the Pacific area.
The reception given lym by leading business men was most gratifying to Mr. Sterling. "They were delighted at the idea of co-operation," he said. "I feel that the way is now open for a big forward movement to the material advantage of Australia and New Zealand."
