RETURN VISIT.
NEWTON BURGLARY. WATCHES AND PERFUME. BACK DOOR LEFT OPEN. For the second time within 14 days burglars last night entered the shop of J. K. MeKenzie, Ltd., at 110, Karaugaliape Road, Newton, and stole a number of watches and several boxes of perfume, of the total value of £13. Two weeks ago, .during the week-end, burglars entered the same premises by climbing a spouting pipe in a lane at the rear of the premises and breaking a small window. On that occasion they made a selection of numerous watches, cigarette cases and lighters, wallets and brushes and tobacco and cigarettes, and carried the goods away in suitcases which they also obtained from the fancy goods shop. The value of the stolen property was £30. Last night's haul was not nearly as large, the thieves contenting themselves with a number of watches which they stole from the front window. The perfume was taken from the shelves in the shop. The burglars left by the back door, which war; found wide open when the stall" reached the shop this morning.
