Slight damage to the washhouee and kitclicn of a house at 95, Valley Road, Mount Eden, owned and occupied by Mrs. F. Chappell, was caused by an outbreak of fire at 5.7 a.m. .to-day. Tlie Mount Eden and Mount Albert brigades extinguished the fire within a few minutes.
