DEMENTED CHINESE.
British Soldiers' Children Thrown Into Ravine. AWFUL TRAGEDY AVERTED. (Received 9.30 a.m.) HONGKONG, June 22. A demented Chinese threw two girls and three boys, all children of British soldiers, into a ravine which had been converted into a raging torrent by recent rains. Then the Chinese jumped in himself. All were saved, although one lad was badly injured.
