WRITERS' CLUB.

Miss E. Peacoeke's prize-winning play, "Pride and Lydia," was presented yesterday afternoon by members of the drama circle of the Writers' Club. Mrs. W. Craig as Lydia, Mr. B. Hart-Smith as Arnold Bentley, and Mr. and Mrs. Richmond as Lydia's working class parents, formed a very capable cast. Congratulations were conveyed to both players and playwright by the president, Mrs. CI net t, who thanked them, on behalf of the members. Afternoon tea concluded the afternoon.
