WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
FLYNN—COLVIN.
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Patrick's Cathedral oil Wednesday, June 20, when Myrtle, only daughter of Mr. and J Irs. W. Colvin, of Poneonby, was married to CJerald, third sou of Mr. and Mrs. J. Flynn, also of Ponsonby. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a picturesque frock of ivory satin and angel skin lace, cut 011 slim lilies, with ttio skirt forming a train. The bodice was inset with angel lace, cut with high neckline. Her veil of embroidered tulle was held in place with a coronet of poarls and orange blossom, and she carried a magnificent sheath of orchids and white roses. The bridesmaids, Miss D. Cowsill and Miss J. Flynn, wore charming frocks of powder blue and peach pink silk marocain. The smart hats were of blue and pink felt, trimmed with pastel velvet leaves. They carried bouquets of pastel flowers. The little flower girl, June Donald, looked attractive in an Early Victorian frock of ivory satin beauto and Juliet cap, carrying a posy. Mr. J. Flynn acted as best man, and Mr. Roy Roe was groomsman. Father Colgan officiated at the ceremony, and later the guests wero received at Point Erin Kiosk by the bride's mother, wearing a tailored Lido blue ensemble, and hat to tone. The bridegroom's mother wore a black satin beaute frock and black hat. The hall and breakfast tables were decorated in pink and blue. In the evening a social gathering was held, and guests enjoyed dancing to tlio strains of an excellent orchestra.
