FARMER DROWNED IN RIVER.

EVIDENCE OF ACCIDENT.

TE AWAMUTU, this day

The body of Mr. Ralph Haliburton, aged 41, farmer, of Pokuru, who hacl been missing from his home since Wednesday morning, was recovered from the flooded Puniu .River thin morning. It was caught against a submerged blackberry clump. The indications point to accidental drowning while Mr. Haliburton was using a makeshift raft to gather driftwood. An inquest will be held.
