I • SYDNEY, June 20. As the result of the situation in regard to the Tuliamore Gold Development Company, shares in which were suspended by the committee of the Sydney Stock Exchange, the whole market for gold shares to-day was affected adversely. Buyers hesitated and not a, single rise was recorded. General investments again displayed a downward trend. This morning's sales included. —Commercial Bank of Sydney, £17; Australian Gas, A shares, £7 17/6; Tooth's Brewery, 42/3; Anthony Hordern, 14/; Associated News, 21/9; British Tobacco, 37/. Later sales included:—Commonwealth 4 per cent bonds: 1938. £104 12/6; 1941. £106 15/; 1947, £108 17/6; 1950, £109 13/9; 1953, £109 17/6; 1955, £108 5/; 1957, £109 5/. Commercial Bank of Sydney, £17; Bank of New Zealand, 50/; Colonial Sugar, £66 15/; Associated News (preference), 23/; Huddart-Parker, 33/; Australian Gas, A shares, £7 17/6; British Tobacco, 37/; Goldsbrough, Mort, 31/; Wilcox, Mofflin, 11/7; Electrolytic Zinc, 25/; Australian Iron and Steel (preference), 21/; Mount Morgan, 26/1%; Broken Hill Proprietary, 43/9; Zinc Corporation, 36/3; Rawang, 9/.
